With the band program continuing to grow, you may be curious to everything we have to offer. To find more information on the specific band classes at Cedar Grove, please view all of the pages below by clicking on the desired class title.
Please note: ALL band students are expected to take band for the entire school year.*
Our band program is structured to fully support the musical development of each individual student. During the fall semester, students will spend most of their time working on skills, techniques, and music reading abilities to better themselves individually. During the spring semester, students will work more collaboratively within their instrument sections and ensembles to prepare concerts for the school and for adjudication at state-wide contests. Learning to play an instrument and to play an instrument with others in an ensemble (band) takes a lot of time to fully develop and master, thus it is crucial that students remain in band for as much of their middle school career as possible! Students in band will still fulfill their P.E. and CTE class requirements each year and will leave Cedar Grove as a well-rounded individual of many talents and skills.
* Students who are taking an intervention or remedial class during electives may be permitted to take only one semester of band without consequence.
