NC College Connect directly admits North Carolina public high school seniors to select UNC System universities, North Carolina independent colleges and universities, and their local North Carolina community college where they already meet admissions requirements.
How does it work? Eligible students will be notified by the start of their senior school year with an official letter, and directed to visit the NC College Connect portal. From there, students will see a complete list of colleges and universities where they’re already admitted (based on their junior year data) and have the option to complete a NC College Connect form to accept their admission at the institutions of their choice. Note: This does not directly enroll students in a given university, but allows those schools to reach out to students with next steps on enrollment, financial aid and more.

The deadline for students to accept direct admission offers through NC College Connect is January 2, 2026. After this date, direct admission through NC College Connect will no longer be available, but students may still apply through the traditional route.
