CLASSES + ACADEMICS
AB TECH DUAL ENROLLMENT
Any 11th or 12th grade student with a 2.8 or higher unweighted GPA can take an A-B Tech class through the Career and College Promise Program (CCP). There are also a few classes that are available to students with below a 2.8. Almost all the Dual Enrollment classes (college classes taken by high schoolers) are online and completed during a period of the school day here at Erwin, although it is possible to plan ahead and fit an in-person class on your schedule if you have transportation and flexibility in your school schedule.
How to get more information and next steps:

The BCS Distance Learning website also has information.
Fill out the Clyde A. Erwin A-B Tech Application form when you are ready to take an A-B Tech class, and let your counselor know that you have filled it out.

Keep In Mind...
Disability Services are offered to students who qualify. Students must contact AB Tech Support Services directly if they wish to seek accommodations. Be aware that there are differences between high school and college accommodations.
Some courses count toward specific graduation requirements. Talk to your counselor if you would like to explore those options.
A-B Tech courses carry the same GPA weight as AP courses, with some exceptions (Criminal Justice courses, for example carry Honors weight instead).
Some Criminal Justice courses are taught in-person on Erwin's campus.
