Student engagement is the attention, curiosity, and interest a student shows during learning.

Student Engagement Aligned to Standards Student engagement during remote learning should include virtual social learning spaces, standards- based lessons that use a variety of digital tools, and learning activities using adaptive programs. Student engagement activities can be facilitated synchronously or asynchronously. Student engagement during hybrid learning should include virtual social learning spaces that group/pair up in-person and remote students, standards-based lessons that use a variety of digital tools, and learning activities using adaptive programs. Student engagement activities can be facilitated synchronously or asynchronously, digitally or in- person. Student engagement during blended learning should include social learning spaces, standards-based lessons that use a blend of digital tools and print resources, and learning activities using adaptive programs. Student engagement activities can be facilitated synchronously and/or asynchronously, using a blend of online and in person instruction.
