Social and Emotional Learning 

Social emotional learning is an essential component of strong core instruction and should be evident in each learning environment.

*Please note, hybrid learning is not anticipated for the 23-24 school year.

Buncombe County Schools Recommends:

• Use Google Slides or Forms to create a learner profile and daily/weekly check-ins.

• Use Screencastify or Loom to record videos to increase connection with students. 

• Use Flipgrid to create connections among students in the same class or across the school. 

• Use Padlet to share ideas or projects.

• Use Teams or Google Meet during remote or hybrid learning to provide a moderated space for students to connect, participate in fun challenges, collaborative games, show and tell, pet parade, talent show, and/or lunch with the teacher.
