Exciting News: Earn PDPs Through Yearlong Learning Arcs!
We are thrilled to announce that Yearlong Learning Arcs have been approved for Professional Development Points (PDPs) by the Maryland State Department of Education!
What does this mean for you?
Educators who complete all three sessions of a single district-provided Learning Arc
during the school year will be eligible to earn 7.5 PDPs toward licensure renewal.
How will PDPs be tracked?
● Attendance and completion will be tracked in KickUp
● PDPs are logged in the educator’s KickUp Professional Learning Transcript
● You will be able to upload this transcript into the TEACH portal
● Be sure to also log the PDPs in your Individual Professional Development Plan (IPDP)
Each educator can engage in up to two Learning Arcs per year and earn a total of 15 PDPs by May 2026.
Why this matters?
This is an important step toward making professional learning more meaningful, more recognized, and more connected to your career growth. We hope this added benefit encourages deeper engagement in the Learning Arcs and supports your ongoing development as an educator and instructional leader.
