Tasks: 

Designate who is responsible for coordinating resources.

• Have members of your school community recognized that resources could be  better coordinated?

• Is there a team or committee in your school that can be responsible for coordinating resources?

• Are there one or two members of yours school staff who are viewed as leaders/decision makers who may be interested in coordinating this effort?

Identify resources and community partners available in your school (personnel, curriculum, strategies, etc.) and existing limitations/gaps in resources 

• Conduct a needs assessment to determine what are the existing gaps in resources for students and families.

Determine outside funding resources

• Are there any grants or community based programs that can be tapped into to support the gaps in resources?

• Are there any funds available in the school budget to provide resources?

Map Community Resources

• Is there a common vision for resource mapping within the school?

• Is there an agreed upon work procedure?

• Is there a plan for carrying out the school's vision with resource mapping?
