A Resource Map is a tool to help schools identify resources available to support schoolwide interventions, supports, and transformation.
The Resource Map Tools are based off of the available and/or created resources in the school and in the communities supporting the schools.
These resources can be used to build tiered interventions used to support students and families.
In order to support students at various tiers, schools must identify the resources that are available within the school, district, and community. Resources are the seen and unseen assets of a school. They can include pre-packaged intervention programs, staff, community partnerships, time, volunteers, etc. Identifying resources and tiering supports allows schools to have a strategic impact on the various needs of the school community. Understanding what systems are in place and how the various resources support the outcome of support is crucial to implementing effective programs/interventions that move student data and meet the ever-changing needs of the school community.
