The iMentor model harnesses the power of long-term, personal relationships to help students succeed. They partner with high schools in low-income communities, where a majority of students served will be first-generation college graduates. They recruit thousands of volunteers who commit to mentor a high school student for at least three years.

iMentor at ACCE
iMentor began partnering with ACCE during the 2019-20 school year. The iMentor program starts with 11th grade students. Each student is assigned a mentor who can be an additional support to help them navigate and create a college and career readiness plan. Each week Ms. Tyler, ACCE's iMentor Project Manager, visits the English III classrooms to conduct college and career-readiness lessons. These lessons are the stepping stones to help students set goals and create their post-secondary plan. There are monthly mixers where students and their mentors can meet. Students and their mentors can also communicate outside of school via the iMentor online platform.
