Throughout the programme, our young people develop practical skills for the workplace, as well as independence, communication and confidence to prepare you for employment.

We split our program into two phases and our young people have a bespoke timetable. This timetable is built around their work experience in phase one or supported internship in phase two. Our young people study Maths, English, Employability, Enterprise, PSHE, do job matching/carving, have weekly sessions from The Warren and have a built in tutor time each morning. Young people can be fast-tracked from phase one to phase two depending upon their ability, experience and readiness for employment.

NSI are based at The Warren in Hull. This is a perfect platform for our program in the heart of the city centre, providing an academic base and ease of access to public transport. Our young people can also access the wrap-around services on offer through The Warren.

At Tranby they pride themselves on the provision they offer in our sixth form. They provide a natural and engaging transition from GCSE to A Level, ensuring all of their students feel safe and happy with the choices they have made. They nurture students, and that means both academically and socially. They offer a range of courses from traditional A Level subjects, through to BTEC qualifications. They actively encourage and promote activity outside of the classroom with their Enrichment programme, volunteering, music, drama, art and sports offerings. Students spend the two years with them learning, not just through their subjects, but through leadership opportunities, a focused PSHCE programme and challenges that push themselves outside of their comfort zone.
