Enrolment is the final stage of the steps you need to complete to become a Student at a College / Sixth Form.
Enrolment is where they check, confirm and update your personal information, and finalise the course you will be doing against your exam results.
All students are required to enrol at the start of each academic year but what you need to do is different depending on if you are new student or returning student.
In order to enrol, you MUST have applied first. If you haven’t applied yet, don’t worry you can still apply.
I suggest that you apply with an email address that you regularly check and have access to (please do not use your school one) and ensure all details are accurate (spelling, phone numbers etc) as Your College will keep in touch with you by either email and phone or in some instances by post if there are any updates or problems with your application or enrolment.
Step 1 – Head to their website and apply for your chosen course
Step 2 – Your new Course Tutor will contact to discuss your application and find out a bit more about you
Step 3 – Once you’ve had your chat, you will receive an invitation (from early August) inviting you to enrol online
Step 4 – You will be contacted by your college who will give you information about tasks you will need to complete over the summer period
Step 5 – You will be sent a link to the Colleges Pre-Induction site which will give you all the information about College such as how to access your emails, how to use Microsoft Teams, etc
Step 6 – Complete your online enrolment and upload your student photo and any other documents we may need. You’ll then receive a congratulations and welcome email
Step 7 – Submit/upload your GCSE results from 20 August (GCSE Results Day) **
Step 8 – You will be sent information regarding your start date at College
Step 9 – Attend your first day and collect your ID card
**If you are unable to meet the entry requirements for your chosen course, the institution could also offer you an alternative course, or will provide you with feedback about why they were unable to offer you a place. You will have to re-sit core subjects needed for the course if you did not meet the entry requirements.
The Information found in this section is based on Wyke Sixth Form College to give you a rough idea of the entry requirements for a sixth form/College.
