Cranswick

Cranswick was founded in the 1970’s and has since grown to become one of the largest and most successful food manufacturing businesses in the UK, with a turnover exceeding £1.6billion.

Through growth and investment, we have expanded from our original roots, to now operating across 18 facilities in the UK, employing over 12,500 people, supplying most of the major UK retailers and food service customers with fresh and added-value food products. Forces Prepped

If you are aged between 16 and 18 and want to join the Army, Navy or Air Force then we are the course for you! We help you get through the selection process and prepare you for basic training. While you are with us you will work towards either Level 1, 2 or 3 Entry to the Uniform Service and will have the opportunity to gain a grade 4 or above in GCSE Maths and English. The programme consists of:

• Fitness sessions

• Military lessons

• Outdoor activities

• Overnight exercises

• Maths & English

• Work experience with the Army

GCHQ

Our brilliant people use cutting-edge technology, technical ingenuity and wide-ranging partnerships to identify, analyse and disrupt threats to the UK.

Our priorities are set by the UK’s National Security Strategy and the decisions of the National Security Council, chaired by the Prime Minister, as well as the Joint Intelligence Committee.

Go Construct

CITB is the industrial partnership for the construction sector, working with employers and Government to embed a culture of training, to inspire, attract, train and retain the next generation of workers and to drive up its performance.

Go Construct website which is the construction’s first ever industry-wide recruitment campaign and online platform. It provides comprehensive and up-to-date information about construction and built environment careers and the wide range of opportunities and roles in the sector. It also offers numerous careers resources and practical tools to support employers, influencers, careers professionals and educators.

HETA

A HETA apprenticeship is like no other. It’s real work from day one – real experience, real wages and first-class training from our engineering instructors who are experts in their fields.

Offering hands on training and links to over 350 companies within the Humber region, an apprenticeship with HETA is the best route into a career in engineering.

We offer Level 3 apprenticeships in aspects of engineering including: Mechanical, Electrical, Multi-skilled, Instrumentation, Design, Marine, Fabrication & Welding, Process Operations and Machining.

Typically, a learner joins HETA in September and trains at the centre for the first year or their apprenticeship, working four days a week in the workshop and one day a week working towards their qualification. In years 2 and 3, apprentices will spend the remainder of their time of the HETA programme at their sponsored company, assessed via portfolio-based assessments and regular reviews with our engineering assessors.

ORSTED

The Ørsted vision is a world that runs entirely on green energy. Ørsted develops, constructs and operates offshore and onshore wind farms, solar farms, energy storage facilities, and bioenergy plants, and provides energy products to its customers.

Globally, Ørsted is the market leader in offshore wind and it is constructing the world’s biggest offshore wind farms off the East Coast of the UK. Its UK offshore wind farms generate enough clean electricity for over three million UK homes.

Phillips 66

The Humber Refinery represents a critical foundation industry in the UK. It underpins multiple manufacturing sectors and local economies.

 Through continual investment supporting its record of environmental excellence. Proud of its reputation as the refinery of the future, and can support the UK Government in achieving its 2050 net zero ambitions through its various decarbonisation projects

The Humber Refinery is the only facility in Europe capable of manufacturing graphite petroleum coke. This specialist product forms a critical part of batteries in both electric vehicles (EVs) and consumer electronics. Phillips 66 supports this production with a world class R&D department in the USA.

A proven history of developing new low carbon fuels, being the first in the UK to process used cooking oil. Converting  UK & International waste streams into finished petrol and diesel.

Royal Marines

The Royal Marines are the UK’s Commando Force and the Royal Navy’s own amphibious troops. They are an elite fighting force, optimised for worldwide rapid response and are able to deal with a wide spectrum of threats and security challenges.

Fully integrated with the Royal Navy’s amphibious ships, they can be deployed globally without host nation support and projected from the sea to conduct operations on land.

A key component of the Royal Navy’s maritime security function, they provide a unique capability and are experts in ship-to-ship operations.
