SHOTOVER STREET

The aim of our Shotover Street upgrade design was to develop the unique style of Queenstown using a range of appropriate elements. These elements included using a variety of materials that emphasise the surrounding environment acknowledging local colours and materials.

Design elements include a mountain motif on safety fences, bench seats and stonework which incorporates existing features found on QLDC street furniture.

The street acts as a state highway but still has street appeal which the public utilise on a daily basis for pedestrian access, parking, seating and shelter elements.

The new streetscape responds to make the connection between the past and future.
