Meet Jessica Ambrose
As we embark on this journey together, my goal is to create a supportive and nurturing environment where every student feels valued, heard, and empowered to succeed. In my role as a school counselor, I'm here to assist students with their academic, social, and emotional development. Whether it's helping students navigate friendships, overcome challenges, or build confidence, my door is always open. I'm also here to support our parents and guardians, as we work together to ensure your child's success and well-being.
A little background about me. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Washington State University. I completed Master's degree in Education for School Counseling at City University of Seattle in 2014. In addition, I also hold a Career Technical Education teaching certificate from Eastern Washington University.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling and plan to take my children to the Philippines to show them where I was born and lived for the first 12 years of my life. I love cooking, trying different cuisines, and sharing recipes to my children. I love spending time with my family at home and out on an adventures.

I believe all learning has an emotional base and in creating a safe space where all students feel heard and valued is a passion of mine. My office is located off the commons in room 117 at RHL. The 25/26 School year will be my 20th year as a School Counselor. I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, a Master's Degree in Education and a E.S.A as a professionally certified School Counselor in Washington State.
I welcome appointments and visits and hope you will find my office space is a place where students, families and staff can share their thoughts and feelings comfortably and confidence. In general, my office hours are 7:45-3:15. Appointments are preferable unless there is a crisis situation occurring.
I enjoy creative problem solving and helping students tackle their challenges, ensuring they know they can approach me with any request for support. I take great pride in encouraging students to be brave and stand up for themselves and the people they care for. It is an honor work to empower young people to learn to be advocates for change.
In my personal life, I have two amazing sons, I love the outdoors, music, dance and shoes!
Together, we can build a supportive and caring community at RHL, and I look forward to working with each and every one of you.
