Fieldtrips, Movie lists and links to movies, Friday extended recess
During the school year we have several events and incentives for us to enjoy.
If you need information about field trips, movies we see in class, or our Friday recess incentives, this is the place to look.
Fieldtrips
Where do I find the permission slips for field trips?
Go to the CAM website. find the tab called, NEWS. Look for the column called, permission slips or field trips. There you will find our permission slip forms. Fill it out. Have your student bring it with any money required to the front office on or before the deadline.
Field trips and events
Each year, CAM 4 tried to do the following fildtrips or events
Winter
one drama production (may be in class if fieldtrips are not allowed)
winter party the last day before winter break
valentine exchange the last half hour of class
Spring
Train trip to The Washington State History museum and also see Chihuly's art (TBA if it can happen)
June
Field Day the last day of school
How to earn extra recess time on Fridays
How to earn the privilege for an extra 10 minute recess or see a movie.
Positive class incentive
Students who want to earn an extra 10 minutes of recess on Fridays will need to meet the following criteria.
Students with all practice work pages completed on time.
Students will have all writing papers, letters, poems, and writing process papers completed on time with their name on it and identified correctly (outline, draft, etc.)
Students will have all their science and art lessons completed.
All 100 minutes and reading genre logs are updated and signed by parent and here on Fridays for me to record.
All fitness and health lessons are completed and here on Fridays for me to record.
Movies as an incentive
Movies
Several movies are being shown in our class as rewards for class focus, work completed, and class contribution. Each movie is a well known book turned into a movie. Students who would like to see the movies, must have ALL their practice work in their workbooks, writing assignments, poems, and letters to the teacher turned in. Students who did not have their assignments done will have a chance to catch up during the movie in a separate room.
