Multiplying and Dividing Decimals by Powers of 10, 100, 1000 - Exponents

This video shows how to divide decimals using a place value chart which was how we did it in class. This is an easy way for students to see how numbers move to the right when dividing by 10, 100, 1000. 

This video shows how to multiply and divide decimals with exponents. This video talks about moving the decimal point. In class, we talked about how technically the decimal point stays and numbers multiply or divide and "move around the decimal point", but you can explain that for simplicity it is easier to move the decimal. To maintain consistency, we have talked about when we multiply that numbers move left (decimal would move to the right), when you divide, numbers move right (decimal would move to the left)...opposite of numbers
