This video shows how to compare decimals using visual models. I would suggest using this model with numbers up to the hundredths.
Attached are tenths and hundredths grids for making models to help compare like in the previous video. I would suggest only using this method with numbers up to hundredths. With numbers into the thousandths look at using the place value chart method or number lines. See below.

This video shows how to compare and order decimals using a place value chart. It is a bit confusing because he goes backwards. Finds the largest number first (and puts it last), so you might stop and just make sure everyone is following, but it does a good just of the process of using a place value chart.
