On arrival in Commons, please make your way to the Covid checking desk, which will be open from 08.30 each morning, and be ready to show your NHS Covid Pass, proof of vaccination or proof of negative lateral flow test or PCR test (for more information, please see visit this page).
The Student Information Desk will open at 08.30 for registering for your celebration event.
At registration, you will be issued with your ticket indicating the Marquee for your event and you will also be able to collect your booked guest tickets.
You will then need to collect your pre-booked graduation gown. All hired gowns must be returned to the gowning room in the Commons building by the specified time on the same day.
You can also purchase official photos, taken by Ede & Ravenscroft in the Commons building, either before or after your celebration event. For further details, please visit the Photography and Souvenirs section of this website.
Once registered and robed, you will need to ensure that you have taken your seat in the Marquee at least 15 mins before the event is due to start.
We will be checking bags and tickets prior to entry into the Marquee, so please allow time for this.
On entrance to the Marquee, your ticket(s) will be checked and you will be seated in ‘bubbles’ of up to three people (in your guest bubbles) to allow for social distancing.
Following the celebration event, we will be holding a drinks reception for you and your guests to attend and meet up with your fellow students and academics from your subject areas.
There will be the opportunity to take photos around the campus.
Graduation Celebration Event Running order:
You will be permitted to enter the Marquee from around 30 minutes before your event begins; please be seated at least 15 minutes before the Celebration Event is due to commence as we will not be able to admit latecomers to the event.
You will be welcomed to the event by your Head of School or their representative.
All present graduates' names will be read out during the event and graduate attendees will be asked to cross the stage to accept congratulations from the Head of School or their representative.
After a closing speech, you and you guests will be invited to join the school academics for a drinks reception.
We expect each ceremony to last about 30-40 minutes.
