Bath Spa University Academic robes must be worn at the graduation ceremonies by all graduating students (please contact graduation@bathspa.ac.uk if you have any questions relating to this).
Robes can be hired or purchased only from Ede & Ravenscroft, who have been appointed as academic dress suppliers to Bath Spa University.
The deadline for booking your robes is Friday 27 August 2021, 17.00.
This may be done online or by phone on 01223 861854; please do not send robe orders to the BSU Graduation Office.
Bath Spa robes are dark blue (except PhD robes, which are a lighter blue) and the hoods are blue and silver; the design of the hood varies depending on which level of award you are receiving.
Robes can be collected on the day from the Commons building from 08.30, and should be returned there by the specified time on the same day - please ask a member of Ede & Ravenscroft staff for timings.
We advise that you dress to suit the occasion in clothing which will be manageable and comfortable beneath your robes. The weather will impact the temperature in the marquees, which can get quite warm, so please keep this in mind when planning your outfit. The Newton Park campus is a rural campus with a mixture of path surfaces, so sensible footwear is recommended.
The hood is designed to be attached to a button on a shirt or blouse but can be pinned.
