SOFT FAMILIAR (2021)

The goat represents that evil which has taken many skins and therefore many souls. Its horns hold a close representation to devil alike, but holding the playfulness of evil. The goat doesn’t decide to be evil but our society has made it a representation of it, I made it this way with my own hands. Inspired by the Venezuelan folk tradition of the Diablos Danzantes del Yare and the dream-like reimagination of their semiotics. The goat is the beheaded personification of evil cut by the hands of the faithful one fulfilling his promise.
