Miguel started diving into clowning and circus through medical clown, where he started volunteering in social work, with NGO Doctor Yaso, Panama City, Panama. Then moved more into physical comedy and solo clown work, developing pieces, BallRoom (2021) and Bridges (2022). Training with clowns, Michael Trautman, Avner Eisenberg and Gabriel Romero.
Thanks to the circus he also incursionated into stilting, as one of the first circus disiplines he learned and has continued a path on. Starting his training in Casa del Arcoris in San Jose, Costa Rica and The Carpetbag Brigade Physical Theater Company. His training in stilting became extensive, highly physical and acrobatic. Miguel also performs on and off as a stilt roamer character and large scale work.
He's interested in bridging circus, theater and dance. Experiementing with different collaborations and skillsets, to create poetry in space. Taking the form of contemporary circus or physical teather.
