REVOLUTIONARY THOUGHTS (2022)

Revolutionary thoughts is an acceptance of those parts of my venezuelan identity I cannot reject, but we all negate. The revolutionary man, the saturation of the color red as I was growing up, the recognition of the symbol, the image adjudicated with a certain relation. This semiotics of the revolution influenced  by Chavismo and officialism in Venezuela are repeated images, an internalized idea of the color red. This photo-performance peice is an intention to dialogue with the tensions held in these single images. Printed digital photography, intervene with sharpie markers, paint, ribbon, spary paint, cut, rearrange and rearticulated images.
