Mrs. Carra
November weather is typically cooler; however, the sun was shining over BAMS this past month! Maybe I’m biased, but BAMS students are honestly the best! They’re kind, fun, and continue to work hard. Phys Ed students finished tossing around the football, then began learning the basic skills of the oldest game in North America, Lacrosse. In the words of Conan O’Brien, “Work hard, be kind, and amazing things will happen.” What does that mean for December? Who knows. Maybe the sun will continue to shine over BAMS in December!
Strategic Reading
Mrs. Shirey
Mrs. Shirey’s sixth and seventh-grade Strategic Reading classes have been building their reading and analysis skills while learning about President Lincoln’s assassination. Eighth-grade students have been learning about the ways archaeologists uncover new understandings about our own and long-lost worlds. There has already been so much growth this year! Since developing a love of reading is so valuable in itself, we regularly devote class time to reading, writing about, and discussing choice books. We are thankful for so many good books in our library and classrooms!
