Please make sure you have completed your Medical Information page on Focus. This is important, even if it is just to confirm you do not have any medical history. Select MEDICAL from the menu on your FOCUS page and select any relevant conditions. If your condition is not listed, select ANY OTHER CONDITION and add details. If you do not have any medical conditions select NO MEDICAL CONDITIONS. Once you have completed all the relevant boxes, and added any additional details requested, please remember to select SAVE
Please also ensure you update this page whenever necessary ie. if you have a significant illness or injury. The College Nurse will receive an email alert to make them aware of any updates. Please contact the College Nurse if you have any queries about this
Please be aware that the College Nurse is not able to dispense any routine medicines eg. Paracetamol, Ibuprofen
Students are responsible for supplying their own "over the counter" or prescribed medicines when in college, and must keep them safe at all times. Exceptions to this are Controlled Drugs eg. Methylphenidate which should be stored with the college nurse
Students who would like to store a small quantity of emergency or essential medicines, as a back up, should discuss this with the College Nurse
Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP)
If you find it difficult to exit college buildings due to reduced mobility, a visual or hearing impairment, mental health reasons or any other concerns, you will need a PEEP ie. a personalised formal plan of what to do in the event of a college evacuation
Please contact the College Nurse in order to arrange this
Please come and help yourself to sanitary products from outside R15C. We have a plentiful supply of tampons and pads. We also have some environmentally-friendly sanitary products - just ask the College Nurse if you would like to know more
