INTRODUCTION

On Planet X there is a new animal that has been discovered. Its name is a Husk Ox. The Husk Ox is a Siberian Husky crossed with a Musk Ox. Its scientific name is Ovibos Familiaris.  There are 5 different species of the Husk Ox. 

DESCRIPTION

The Husk Ox has long shaggy fur to keep warm in its habitat. Its hairy ears helps it keep it regulated. Its strong legs helps it climb rocky terrains. The Husk Ox's silver grippy hooves are really good for gripping the slippery ice. It has got a tail for better balance. The Husk Ox is tall for when there thick snow.

HABITAT

It lives in a tundra-like place with mountains and yellow clouds, tussocks and a snowy landscape. The mountains are icy and snowy and have caves which are perfect for the Husk Ox. The Husk Ox lives in the mountains and caves that keep the heat in.

ADAPTATIONS

The Husk Ox eats tussocks, birds, lemmings and caribou. The Husk Ox hunts by sniffing out its prey. The Husk Ox has ten times the smell of humans. The Husk Ox puppies are really playful and start to hunt for themselves at the age of 2 months. The Husk Ox lives for 60 years. They catch lemmings by digging them out of the ground and grabbing them with their claws. They hunt in packs and live with them but sometimes they leave their pack and go rogue.
