Gravit (www.gravit.io) is a great site to use to get started with making your own flat vector art. The free version is all that you need and you can log in with your Balmacewen email address.

Some of these tutorials show the older version of Gravit but the functions can all be found easily in the new version.

Flat design is a minimalistic design approach that emphasises usability. It features clean, open space, crisp edges, bright colours and two-dimensional illustrations. Flat design has become a key direction in design for the last few years, making websites, applications and design elements elegant, neat and stylish.

You can use this type of art when you are making a website (like your Google Site), making an app, making a logo, making a game...anywhere where you need art.

The website www.tutpad.com has good tutorials for graphic design. They are based on using Adobe software but can easily be adapted to software like Gravit.
