So, this year, we are back on campus this semester. My assumption is that that will continue this upcoming fall. Everything is dependent upon how the pandemic goes. We must take things day by day, literally.
Not currently. Generally, freshmen and sophomores are required to live on campus, but there are a few exceptions to that. And students with children are one of them. So due to the pandemic, we've we have eased those restrictions. So, students can live off campus as freshmen and still take online courses or saying if they are in the area, they want to have a hybrid method, that they want to have classes that are in-person some days in virtual all the other days or a mixture of the two, they are able to do that. So not currently, but. There may be options.
We just got our students back on campus from the last couple weeks. That was a process because of COVID. We have all the students have their own room. So normally we would be in a roommate situation, but students have their own space. Temperature checks and COVID testing was required before students were able to move on the campus. We do have an entire dorm set aside just for any students who may come down with COVID or come into contact with. They're still able to receive the same classes and food and everything that they would if they didn't.
So, we have 17 NCAA Division two sports teams and I think everyone kind of thinks about, you know, basketball, football, when you think of college sports. But some sports that we have that I do not necessarily think of off the top of my head are like tennis. We have that as an option. Women's volleyball, we must have an option. Golf is another one of our sports and women’s bowling was one thing I was a little surprised about. And as far as support goes, we want our Trojans to do well. So, we have our academic center for excellence, which normally, you know, on campus we would go to.
If students have let us say you were in high school and you had an IEP or things like that, we do have a student accessibility office on campus. All you would do is you would just go to them and what you had in high school essentially is what you would be put on the track for in college as well. So, if you need extra time for tests, if you need to have your lectures recorded, things like that, they will be able to help you out for that.
