Using Google For Productivity, Creative and Connectivity

Austin ISD uses the protected Google Workspace for Education ecosystem for account authentication, digital productivity and more. Students all have a Google account, in the form of their district email address. That address is used to login to a district Chromebook, share digital products with their teachers, login to Minecraft and more. (Only secondary student can receive email.)

Chrome Profile Accounts

District Chromebooks will only allow one Google account to be active at a time. However, students using their own mobile device or personal computer at home sometimes have multiple Google accounts active at one time. This video helps keep the Austin ISD Google account separate from personal accounts.

A growing playlist of over 30 videos present strategies and demonstrations for using Google Workplace.

Some students using iPads may want to connect to their Google Drive so they can upload media to their Drive or edit documents using the iOS apps. This video steps a student through the connection process.
