Support for Austin ISD Technology

When a device is not working or has technical difficulties, it should be reported to the Help Desk or ServiceNow for repair. The more information provided in the initial ServiceNow request, the quicker a solution can be delivered to the user. The Desktop Support group within the Technology Department can support all Austin ISD-supplied technology repairs.

Support for Student Devices

Student devices are also maintained by Austin ISD Technology. Campus Device Managers belong to a support network in Teams to help with managing the campus inventory of devices.

Teachers have access to online device management software, such as GoGuardian, Jamf and Apple Classroom. Technical issues with these services should be directed to the Help Desk or ServiceNow in order to get directed to the most appropriate resource for help.

The Technology Design Team provides training for teachers on how to use these device management services appropriately and in ways that support the blended learning classrooms.

Other Austin ISD Technology Devices

EduDisplay / NovoPro Desktop Streamer

All district classrooms, and most other learning spaces, have been provided some form of the EduDisplay presentation system. This system was designed to provide wired and wireless connectivity to a large screen, portability of the system, a high-quality document camera and the ability to connect a wide range of other devices.

Teachers can self-enroll into the Training and Resource course in BLEND for the EduDisplay. In your browser, go to bit.ly/aisdedudisplay and enroll. There are directions for connecting to the hardware and installing the needed software as well.

If you have technical issues getting connected to the EduDisplay or need assistance getting the software installed, call the AISD Help Desk or submit a ServiceNow ticket that clearly explains what you are seeing.


Teacher Windows and Mac Laptops and Desktops

District provided Windows and Mac hardware is completely serviced by Austin ISD Desktop Support. Staff can search for support articles through the Solution Center search bar at the top of ServiceNow in the Portal. Technical solutions can also be requested through the creation of a ServiceNow ticket or call to the Austin ISD Help Desk. Help Desk and Desktop Support service cannot service personal (non-district provided) devices.
