Art History (AP)

Banner design from Bayeux Tapestry

This course traces the development of global artistic accomplishment from prehistory to the present. Emphasis will be placed on learning to analyze art in terms of its visual nature as well as being able to understand and describe the time frame and culture from which a work of art was produced. The course will be taught in the manner of a college-level art history survey course; and students who pass the A. P. Exam may receive college credits.
