Dear incoming 4th grader,
I still remember when I started my 4th grade year. It was an interesting time because I had moved in 1st grade to another state for 2 years, and came back to the same school with most of the same classmates in 4th grade. I was scared no one was going to remember me or if I was going to have friends again. However, many classmates did remember me and I was welcomed back!
This particular school year was a fabulous time when I finally felt I was part of the older group of students at school, and I'm sure you are feeling the same as you're entering upper grade! It was when I got to play with the older kids in kickball, basketball, and even jump roping.
Even if you aren't the oldest students of the school yet, I hope you can show the rest of the school, especially your younger peers how it important it is to demonstrate the 7 habits and be a SPOT On Bulldog at Baldwin Stocker! If there are any new students who join our class, I hope you can also extend the same kindness and hospitality to them as my former classmates did for me.
I cannot wait to have you all in Room 30 as we navigate 4th grade together!
Sincerely, Ms. Chang
