Attend 4th Grade Back to School Orientation
The orientation is on Tuesday, August 12 at 10:45 AM in MPR.
We will not meet in the classroom. Parents only.
Review the Back to School Presentation (see below)
This presentation is specific to Room 30 compared to the one in the MPR.
Fill out Back to School Information Survey
Please fill this out by Friday, August 23.

Sign up for Student Led Conference (Oct 6-10)
Each conference is 30 minutes long and will overlap with others.

Accept Google Classroom Invite
Once your child is in Google Classroom, you will receive a parent invite.
When you accept the invite, you will receive regular emails about student work and classes. These emails, known as guardian email summaries, include information about missing work, upcoming work, and class activity.
Absences
Send Ms. Chang a message via Class Dojo or email to know of an absent, especially if there is an extended leave such as a vacation.
If you are signed up for ARP (Attendance Recovery Program), you will be receiving a Google Form at the end of the school day from the district to explain why your child was absent.

If your child needs an independent study, please also let Mrs. Ji and Ms. Chang know ahead of time.
We strongly encourage students to come to school every day so they do not miss out on schoolwork, socialization, and events!
Early Pick-Up
Send Ms. Chang a message via Class Dojo or email if you plan to pick up your child early. The office (dji@ausd.net) would also appreciate a notice ahead of time as well.
Forgot Something?
Students need to make sure they have everything the night before so the morning does not feel rushed!
The office will NOT allow parents to drop off work, water bottles, musical instruments, whatever they forgot. Parents are also not allowed to try and give their child something through the gates.
It is important to remember that Baldwin Stocker has hundreds of students and we encourage everyone to practice putting first things first which will lead to a win-win for everyone!
Nutrition
Students may bring a healthy snack during morning recess and bring their own lunch to school. They have the option to get the school brunch/lunch as well.
Please refrain from sending chips, cookies, candy, or soda with your child. We are trying to promote healthy eating habits.
