Mrs. McCray is the Career Coach at RHS. She can help you with choosing a career path, perfecting your resume, reaching out to potential employers, and preparing for college. Mrs. McCray is your contact for all programs that run through BRCC (workforce training, dual enrollment/concurrent enrollment, applying for classes for an associate's degree or transfer program). The Virginia Registered Apprenticeship program is an employment training model that produces highly skilled workers to meet the demands of employers competing in a global economy, through a combination of on-the-job training and related technical instruction. It is a “win-win” approach to workforce development for apprentices (employees) throughout the Commonwealth. Many great opportunities are available for graduated seniors. See your career coach or counselor if you are interested in a registered apprenticeship.
Blue Ridge Community College in Weyers Cave, VA offers a wide variety of Associate Degrees and Certificates, along with short-term Workforce Training. Students ultimately wishing to attend a four-year school can also begin their studies at BRCC in the College Transfer program.
