Taking advanced placement (AP) classes in high school can help you earn college credit alongside your diploma and lead to tuition savings as an undergraduate. Students who receive passing scores on these tests can earn college credit depending on your score and the accepted score of your chosen college.
Students who have requested Dual Enrollment coursework for the 2025-2026 school year need to enroll as a student at Blue Ridge Community College. Enrolled students will receive credit on both their RHS transcript and a transcript from Blue Ridge Community College.
Concurrent Enrollment allows high school students to be enrolled in both their local high school and community college in an attempt to earn college credits. Students can choose whether they want their coursework to count as high school credit AND college credit. Enrollment information is available in guidance. Students should have a discussion with their counselor prior to enrolling/paying for their courses.
