Parent Communication :
Positive and proactive communication with families is KEY to the success of every student. Families will receive weekly bulletins from the school via email, school newsletters 3x per year, and frequent communication from teachers via classroom apps. Families will also receive occassional text messages from our communication system with reminders. Make sure your email, phone number, address, and contact list is up to date in Genesis to avoid missed communication from the school.
Daily Parent Support :
Checking your child's folder, reviewing their work for the day, making sure they complete any homework, and return it promptly.
Talk with your child about what hey learned.
Read with your child.
Encourage your child to talk to an adult at school if they need help so we can assist them in the moment of need.
Seeing to it that children are dressed appropriately for school and the weather, in accordance with the district dress code.
Label EVERYTHING - water bottles, lunch boxes, coats, hoodies, jackets, etc.
Checking with school for lost articles. Many articles are left unclaimed.
Keeping toys and personal items at home.
Returning permission slips, order forms, other documentation requests to the school in a timely manner.
Remaining Actively Involved :
Becoming an active member of the PTA.
Attending school events related to your child, such as concerts, classroom events, Back to School Night, and the MANY PTA events throughout the year
