At Haviland Avenue School, we value to importance of focusing on the individual needs of each and every child. We also seek creative ways to offer enrichment for every student. Our Multi-Tiered System of Supports, or MTSS, cycle runs from October through May for 30 minutes every day in grades 1 and 2. Kindergarten students may also receive MTSS at teacher recommendation in order to best prepare them for success in school. 

• During the MTSS cycle, students will attend classes on a 4 week rotation for Spanish, Science, Reading, Creative Writing, Money and Geometry, Math Games, and SEL and Gamesmanship. Additionally, 

• Students who may need extra support in reading, writing and/or math, will receive small group instruction to target specific skills that will support them in the classroom. 

• Multi-Language Learners will receive explicit English Language instruction to support the integrated languge model used in their other subject areas. 

• Gifted and Talented students will participate in and Enrichment cycle.
