Code of Conduct

Establishing a positive learning environment for all students sets the stage for positive and productive outcomes. At Haviland Avenue School, we aim to capitalize on the teachable moment in order to help students understand misbehavior, identify it, reflect upon it, and make positive choices that result in self-regulation in all areas of their school day. 

Teachers, paraprofessionals, aides, nurses and counseling staff, and administration all work together to support positive student behaviors through our Positive Behavior In Schools (PBIS) program. Parent communication and positive reinforcement continue to drive our student behavioral intervention approach. 

When addressing negative behaviors, the following Code of Conduct will be implemented in order to support and promote our school values – Safe, Respectful, Responsible.
