The Doras Jazz Band!
The Doras Jazz Band!
The Doras is a jazz band open to students in all the 6th-8th grade band classes, and some orchestra students. The Doras meets on Wednesday and Friday mornings at 6:30am! The Doras is a FUN band because we learn how to SWING, and it's a fun get together with other friends from band. The music is often fast-paced and exciting.
Students should be dropped off on the side parking lot next to our portables.Â
Instruments played in The Doras include:
Trumpet
Trombone
Saxophone
Flute
Clarinet
Vibes
Piano
Drum Set
Bass
How to join The Doras? 7th & 8th graders should talk to Mr. Carney to get a music folder. 6th graders should work on their Bb, Eb, Ab, & F Concert Major Scales, as well as their chromatic scale. Once sixth graders can play all these notes, they will have more success and more fun in The Doras!
