EARLY ENTRY KINDERGARTEN

CONTACTS

If your child turns 5 by August 31, it's time to register for kindergarten.

Auburn School District has an online enrollment site for Kindergarten registration. Please click here to enroll your student in Kindergarten for the 2024-2025 school year. Kindergarten Readiness Guidelines for parents and families have a very important role as their child's first teacher. Children learn in different ways and at different rates. They come to school with varying skills. Playing, reading, counting and talking together - in your home language - and helping your child learn some basic self-care skills will help him or her to be ready for school. Learn more about preparing for kindergarten.  WaKIDSWashington Kindergarten Inventory of Developing Skills (WaKIDS) is a process of connecting the adults in children's lives so that they can be ready to start school. Schools around the state use WaKIDS, which has three parts: 1. Family connection 2. Whole-child assessment 3. Early learning collaboration 4. WaKids Family Brochure .
