Think you know how to write? Well, it can ALWAYS be better. :-) Use these resources to improve your writing and researching skills, and don't forget proper citations: Bibliographies, Footnotes, Internal Citations, etc.
A+ Research and Writing - One of Ms. McCall's favs for a site that will walk you step-by-step through researching and writing that A+ paper.
Purdue Online Writing Lab (OWL) - Yes, it's no longer ugly; and Purdue has made pages specifically for grades 7-12 which are so much easier to navigate. This is one of the best sites for everything writing and citing. Use it regularly, and like Galileo, you'll become so familiar with it it will be easy.
A Research Guide for Students - A much easier to navigate site than the old Purdue Owl for writing and citing, however, that may now longer be true. Make sure the examples are in MLA 8 format. The landing page has writing guides and other supports. This is the direct page for citations.
UNSW Sydney offers Reflection support as well as writing and researching help. After you review the reflection piece, look at the navigation tools to the right for even more "goodies."
Learn about Creative Commons Licensing. There are plenty of sites, music, and images you can legally use in your papers. Please search for them in a Google "string search" for "Creative Commons" and Images, Music, etc.
With your Fulton County public library card, you can access tutor.com through eCampus from NOON until MIDNIGHT daily--for FREE! In addition to getting tutored in all of your core disciplines, there is a writing tutor who will work through papers with you when you upload it to them. See Ms. McCall in the Media Center if you have any trouble locating this resource.
Remember: All of the NAHS and Fulton County provided databases will cite for you! Citation generators (google them) are helpful, but make sure you check the formatting before you finalize your bibliography, internal citations, or footnotes.
