Change of Degree (Shifting)

The submission of an application to change degree program must be done within the period prescribed by the Office of the ADAA and the of the Registrar. 

Students should inquire from the department/program concerned about any shifting requirements that have to be met before they are accepted into a degree program. 

Students who shift will likely be on an irregular status, with some back subjects still to be taken. They must, therefore, consult their home department chair/program director immediately after approval of their shifting program regarding adjustments to their Individual Program of Study (IPS). In the following semesters, students should adhere to this program of study as faithfully as possible in order to avoid any further or unnecessary delays to graduation. 

If students are enrolled at the time the change in degree program is effected, they continue attending all their classes even if some of these may no longer be required in their new degree program. Should a student decide to withdraw from any of these classes, the student should get the approval of the home department chair/program director and then accomplish a Load Revision Form. The deadline for withdrawal from a course with permission (WP) must be strictly observed. The deadline for processing a load revision form to withdraw from a course is announced by the Registrar.
