During Music and Arts Month, a Concertino (mini concert) is held to showcase the classical musical talents of Ateneans.
This event is a meaningful opportunity for students to celebrate, express, and share the beauty of classical music with the community. The Concertino is open to all students who are interested in performing. To join, they simply need to inform their music teachers.
Different music ensembles, namely the AJHS Glee Club, Ukulele Organization, Classical Guitar Ensemble, Piano Guild, and Chamber Orchestra, gather annually to perform in a music concert.
This exciting event is one of the biggest projects for Atenean musicians and offers a unique opportunity to bring together their exceptional talents in one concert. It is open to the entire community and serves as a true celebration of musical artistry at Ateneo Junior High School.
The AJHS Music Recitals offer students an enriching experience that significantly contributes to their holistic development. The events serve as a platform for students to showcase their musical talents, boosting their confidence and performing skills.
By preparing for and performing at recitals, students enhance their discipline and perseverance, learning the value of practice and dedication. Additionally, recitals foster a sense of community and collaboration as students support each other and celebrate their collective achievements. Overall, The Music recitals play a crucial role in nurturing both the artistic and personal growth of Atenean musicians, shaping well-rounded individuals for the Greater Glory of God.
Performing and visual arts became mediums through which cultural stories were told and cherished. The AJHS students showcased their musical talents while the BMIS students revealed their graceful movements through an Aceh cultural dance performance. The guests also immersed themselves in the richness of Philippine modern and contemporary art in the Ateneo Art Gallery. Through the visit, both Filipinos and Indonesians discovered the beauty of their respective traditions, enriching their understanding of the diverse tapestry that makes up Southeast Asia.
