How get help when troubleshooting Gmail issues?

When you are having issues with your Gmail, getting the Email headers may help your department IT get information like time-stamps, IP addresses sender/recipient and the various mail servers your email took to get your message to your recipient.

To view the Email Headers:

  1. Sign into your email in a web browser.

  2. Open the email you want to check the headers for.

  3. Click on the 3 dots beside reply. A menu should pop out.

4. Click "Show Original"

5. Provide the following details to your IT support staff. Click on Copy to Clipboard. This will copy the rest of the email header below for you.


6. Paste this information in your email.

7. Include any other relevant information and send your email.
