Acknowledging our shortcomings
Now, as we recall our experiences, we also acknowledge the moments
when we have failed to choose to be loving, to ourselves, to others, and to God.
We take a few moments now to reflect on how and when we have turned away from God.
When we have chosen to think of ourselves, rather than others.
We pray: Lord, have mercy
When we have taken what we wanted, rather than what we needed.
We pray: Lord, have mercy.
When we have seen wrong done but failed to speak out.
We pray: Lord, have mercy.
When we have chosen to ignore people who are neglected, hungry, homeless, and afraid.
We pray: Lord, have mercy.
When we have been ungrateful for the blessings you have given to us.
We pray: Lord, have mercy.
When we have been unloving to others, to ourselves, and to you, our Loving God.
We pray: Lord, have mercy.
Take a moment now to ask for God’s healing mercy. Ask God to help you move forward with courage and faith.
After this moment, kindly click next.
