T&S work is not limited to online content. As more and more devices in our daily lives become internet-connected, or “smart,” the scope of harms and the role of T&S professionals both increase. Location trackers, smart speakers, app-controlled thermostats, video doorbells, and connected cars can all be weaponized against victims of stalking, domestic violence, state surveillance, and exploitation.
