The act of learning domain encompasses the use of educational theory in the examination and design of educational activities and environments. The main skills assessed through this domain are students’ abilities to (1) make practical application of educational theories described in the literature; (2) use and apply knowledge from a specific discipline into the design of educational settings; and (3) use the most appropriate tools or systems to design an educational environment or an educational activity.

Description: Applied Project Presentation-
Summary: My task is to present to the class my 3-minute pitch on a learning innovation that is based on one of the theories studied in the course. The pitch should be directed to an external audience about how the innovation could be used to help address the BP. I will only complete this presentation for one of the learning theories.
Purpose: Analyze a real-world concern for learning opportunities. Consider principles of human development to identify an educational opportunity. Apply research-based learning theories to the design of an educational environment and/or activity. Apply research findings on human development to inspire the design of an educational environment and/or learning activity. Design innovative approaches to addressing an educational environment and/or activity. Explain research-based decisions about the design of an educational environment and/or learning activity.
Representation: Through this work I was able to connect and extend knowledge from my own academic study/ field/ discipline when reflecting on the design of an educational environment, and its appropriateness in helping learners acquire the desired knowledge.
Application: Learning about how applying the Theory of Cognitivism to facilitate proper training can improve labor recruitment and retention of current employees within the service industry, will allow me to become a better trainer and server at my job at Spinato's Pizzeria.
