Credit hours completed at ASU or at another regionally accredited U.S. institution or international institution officially recognized by that country, before the semester and year of admission to an ASU graduate degree program, are considered pre-admission credits.
With the approval of the academic unit and the Graduate College, students may include a maximum of 12 graduate-level credit hours with grades of “B” or better that were not used towards a previous degree.
Pre-admission credits must have been taken within three(3) years of admission to the ASU degree or certificate program to be accepted.
Official transcripts must be sent to Graduate Admission Services from the registrar/records office of the institution where the credits were earned.
By post-secondary institutions that lack candidate status or accreditation by a regional accrediting association, or an equivalent international institution.
For life experience.
For courses taken at non-collegiate institutions (e.g. government agencies, corporations and industrial firms).
For courses, workshops and seminars offered by other postsecondary institutions as part of continuing education programs.
For extension courses.

Students are responsible for identifying which ASU course that they would like to have the transfer credit applied toward.
To apply pre-admission credits to your degree program, students must complete the GOEE Pre Admission Transfer Credit Evaluation Form. After the form is submitted, faculty will review the courses to determine whether they can be included in the program of study, and the Graduate College will evaluate them for compliance with academic policies.
All requests must be made using the GOEE Pre Admission Transfer Credit Evaluation Form. Be advised that the documents you uploaded during the admission application have already been evaluated. Submit only requests with new information when requesting a reevaluation of pre-admission transfer credits.
All transfer coursework must have been completed within three (3) years prior to a student’s admission. Coursework older than three years will require additional review by the Graduate College and may not be accepted.

Complete unofficial transcript, up to the current semester. On your transcript highlight the course(s) you would like evaluated. The grade scale must be included with all transcripts.
All supporting documentation (syllabus/course descriptions) are required.
A letter grade of a "B" or higher is needed.
Credit hours must be equivalent (3 credit hour courses can only be applied toward 3 credit hour classes for transfer)
Once the petition has been reviewed it is final. There will be no future petition or reconsideration requests, including asking to meet one-on-one. You will be notified by email the results of your request. ALL DECISIONS ARE FINAL.
