As students enter what would traditionally be Year 9, at Assumption College they are entering into myMAP Year 3. Here students will have a range of subjects available to them across all levels of myMAP and only need to complete English, Maths, RE and myBeing as compulsory subjects.
When reporting on students it is only Maths, English and Science that are to be reported to the students age. All other subjects can be reported on the stage they are completing the subject. In other words, a student in myMAP 3 who is completing a White level English and does so satisfactorily will be marked below standard on their report (7.5 or 8.0 for their progression point). This would change however, if a student was assessed to be 'Working Above Standard'. As they are then deemed to be at least a full 12 months ahead of the expected for this task then they could be marked as being at the expected level for this subject.
If a student is completing a Yellow, Light Blue or Dark Blue English and does 'At Standard' or better will need to be marked at standard on their report, that is 8.5 or 9.0 for Yellow or 9.5 or 10.0 for Light or Dark Blue. If a student in myMAP Year 3 is completing Light Blue Economics, their progression point would be in line with where they were marked for the assessment tasks for this subject. That is, 'At Standard' would be marked as a 9.5 or 10.0, "Working Towards Standard would be recorded as 8.0 for example.
A further exception to this is the subjects that cover all levels of the curriculum, such as the High Performance sport subjects. Students are still to complete assessment which are marked against the Standard Grade Scale, but no progression point is recorded.
