Each student will receive a Learning Mentor Group (LMG) report at the end of each semester. The LMG report will contain:
Attendance summary
Participation in College special events
Participation in co-curricular and College commendations
Commitment to College Community
Student learning reflection
Teachers do not need to enter data for the attendance summary. The attendance summary is driven by the Student Attendance platform. [See Below]
Teachers do not need to enter data for College special events. The College special events will be driven by the Student Attendance platform. Before commencing LMG reports, check the box for Display Global Components in Curriculum Admin.
Examples of College special events are House Athletics Carnival, Easter Vigil Liturgy, Champagnat Day, Year 12 Retreat, Careers Expo and Assumption Day.
The participation in co-curricular and other College commendations are entered using Student Commendations in Student Profiles. The activity is to be entered by the staff member responsible for the activity.
For teams coached by non-Assumption staff and activities involving larger groups of students, the SIMON database administrator will enter the Student Commendations.

Examples of other College commendations include Science Competition, Dante Alghieri Poetry Competition, USA study tour, Open Day tour guide, House Captain and Student Representative Council member.

*The title of the activity must be entered exactly as it appears in the list of co-curricular and other College activities. The list of co-curricular and other College activities may be accessed in the Assumption College Reporting Guide for Teachers, SIMON Knowledge Banks, or by using this link.

%N is encouraged to contribute more fully to House and College activities.

Each student writes a student learning reflection each semester. The student may need to add to or rewrite their reflection if it is considered appropriate or of adequate length. [See below for instructions on entering reflections]
Each student is to have a semester comment on their report. If a student does not submit a comment the LM is to go through the process in the red box below for a default comment to be added to report. In subsequent semesters, this student is to be supported to submit a reflection by their LM and/or House Leader.
Learning mentors should distribute the LMG student reflection guidelines and sample reflections to their students (see here).
Learning mentors are responsible for:
Collating the student reflections using a method that best suits them. For example, set up a class task in Learning Areas or have students email the reflection.
Guiding, prompting or advising students that are having difficulty with constructing the reflection.
Reading and vetting the student reflection. If necessary, spelling and grammar should be corrected.
Entering the student learning reflection into the LMG report.
