Ingredients
8 ounces/ 1 cup of short or long grain rice
8 ounce can of tomato sauce
1/2 red bell pepper
1/2 onion
3 cloves of garlic
1 tablespoon of curry powder
1 bay leaf.
Optional: 1 Jalapeño/hot pepper, cilantro, green onion, or lime juice
Also, there is a lot of cutting involved tomorrow so ask your parents.
Equipment: Medium size pot, knife, cutting board, wooden spoon, fork, and spoon
Instructions
1. Slice onions, mince garlic and ginger, and dice pepper
2. Wash Rice
3. Saute onions until brown, reserve 1/2
4. Add ginger, then garlic, and peppers
5. Add curry powder until fragrant
6. Add rice then tomato sauce
7. Add water (1-1.5 cups)
7. Cook 20-30 minutes
